I started getting into music at around the age of 7 or 8, and at that time, my family bought me the music I liked. At the age of 18, I got my first set of second-hand twin CD players, and a year or so later, I added turntables to my setup. I replaced my twin CD players after a year or so when they packed up. I still have my original DJ gear going strong all these years later and have now added a modern all-digital setup of Denon CDJs along with PC based software. I have over a thousand records and a few thousand CDs! My love of music has never died, and these days I'd much rather have the stereo blasting than the tv on! I never really focused much in my younger years in getting into the DJ scene, although I'm sure I would have loved doing it. These days it's just for fun. I hope you enjoy the mixes I post.

I was a DJ from 1973 until the early 80s, they were small private clubs, mixers without pre-listening and Thorens belt-driven turntables... Disco-prehistory.I recently found some stereo 4 music tapes of my own and other friends' evenings which I will convert to digital. I have the recording year of some or brief note, in others there are no notes but I only know that it is beautiful music from the past. Long live dance, house, funky and similar genres ! I apologize for the beginning and end of the mixes which are with abrupt fade or some minor volume distortion: are live sets recorded at the club. Happy listening :-)
